Art History
Creative Writing
Cultural Studies
Drama and Theatre Arts
Film Studies
Jazz Studies

Visual Arts

The Arts and Humanities Invitational will give you a unique opportunity to learn about the many majors and programs in the arts and humanities that Columbia offers undergraduates. Learn why some of the world’s most accomplished students choose to study the humanities and creative and performing arts at Columbia College, conveniently located in New York City, the arts and literary capital of the world.

The program includes:

  • an overview of studying the arts and humanities at Columbia, including specific programs and opportunities in these fields, as well as admissions requirements and our generous need-based financial aid program.
  • a panel of current students highlighting the undergraduate experience at Columbia and our thriving arts community.
  • an activities fair featuring student-led organizations, giving you the opportunity to acquaint yourself with on-campus extracurricular opportunities in the arts and humanities.

Check-in for the event will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the Broadway Lobby of Roone Arledge Auditorium of Lerner Hall on Columbia’s campus. The program will conclude at 2:00 p.m. More information about getting to campus, including a campus map, can be found on our Visitor Information page.

Although there will be an opportunity to learn more about admissions and financial aid during the invitational, you may wish to attend the general information session about Columbia and the student-led campus tour from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. after the program. Check out the Information Sessions and Campus Tours page for more information and to register; you must register for either or both of these programs separately from the Arts and Humanities Invitational.

Registration for this event has reached capacity.
