Columbia Engineering Research Invitational
Friday, August 7
This campus program provides an opportunity to learn about the distinctive advantages of studying engineering at Columbia. Designed for rising high school seniors, the event goes into greater detail than our daily information sessions and tours. You will hear directly from faculty, administrators and current students about the benefits of a Columbia engineering education, with a special emphasis on research opportunities throughout the engineering school. Prospective students and families will also have the chance to speak one-on-one with current Columbia undergraduates about their summer research during an undergraduate research fair.
Check-in will begin at 12:30 p.m. at the Broadway entrance to Lerner Hall, between 114th and 115th Streets. The program will begin at 1:00 p.m. and conclude around 5:00 p.m. More information about getting to campus, including a campus map, can be found on our Visitor Information page.
We encourage students and families visiting Columbia for the first time to attend the general information session and/or campus tour from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. before the program. Check out the Information Sessions and Campus Tours page for more information and to register; you must register for either or both of these programs separately from the Engineering Research Invitational.
