Meet Our Students

Sruti S.

From the Lions Mouth:
“From the second I stepped onto campus, I’ve seen how diverse our community is here and how “global” my experience actually is. My best friend on campus is an international student, and his unique experiences continue to give me a distinct perspective on the way I handle school, work and life. The World Leaders Forum extended that by allowing me to question leaders face-to-face and learn about the rest of the world from the leaders who are shaping it. My professors come from all over the world and their expertise reflects their commitment to understanding the way the world works. They have inspired me to focus on international and comparative politics.”
My Extracurricular Activities:
My Columbia Day:
  • 10:00 a.m.

Take in the conversation in my Intermediate French II course.

Discuss the United Nations and its organizations for emergency response in Law, Ethics, and Policy of International Intervention, a Political Science seminar.

Argue both for and against the issue of government support of free speech in President Bollinger’s course, Freedom of Speech and Press.

  • 6:10 p.m.

Attend Introduction to Statistics, taught by Professor Sheela Kolluri.

  • 8:00 p.m.

Head downtown with friends to grab dinner at Ignazio’s Pizza in Brooklyn - the pizza is fabulous, and the view of the Manhattan skyline is unbeatable.
