Visiting students can experience the academics at Columbia through class visits. A vast array of classes is available for prospective students to attend while visiting campus during the academic year.

Please note that Friday classes are limited to mainly Foreign Languages and Lecture Recitations.

Classes are no longer in session for the Spring 2013 Semester. Fall 2013 classes will begin in September. Please check back in the fall for more information.

Due to the small and intimate nature of the Core Curriculum, prospective students will not be able to visit Core Classes. However, newly admitted students are invited in the spring to sample Core Classes during our accepted student programs. 

If you are interested in visiting a class, you must first check in at the Visitors Center. After you have received approval to sit in on a class, you will receive a class visitation ticket. You must report to the class at least five minutes prior to the start time and you are expected to stay for the entire duration of the class. Please note that class visits are for prospective students only.
