Students' Right to Protest

Columbia has been inspired by the global rise of voices reacting to recent violent acts of anti-Black racism and standing up for equality and justice. Columbia Undergraduate Admissions supports students who are responding to and peacefully protesting against systemic racism and violence against the Black community. Students applying for undergraduate admission to Columbia College and The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science will not be at any disadvantage in the admissions process should they exercise their First Amendment right to speak out and demand changes that affirm that Black Lives Matter.
