The Undergraduate, Multicultural and Global Recruitment Committees need your help. Each April, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Visitors Center welcome admitted students to campus for overnight visitation programs. Both Days on Campus and Perspectives on Diversity require the support of hundreds of current students. Now is your chance to shape the future of Columbia and share the Columbia experience with the Class of 2018.
All hosts must abide by Residential Programs policies and note that their guests will also be held to the same standards. Before you register, please check your calendar and make sure you can host. It is important for the Admissions Office and Undergraduate Recruitment Committee student leaders to have an accurate headcount of registered hosts to match with admitted student guests. We thank you for your cooperation and look forward to your direct contribution in shaping the Class of 2018.
There is a two night hosting commitment for Perspectives on Diversity. You may only register for one of the two programs:
Columbia Engineering Perspectives on Diversity
Friday, April 11 - Sunday, April 13
Please pick up your guests promptly at 5:45 p.m. in Roone Arledge Auditorium of Lerner Hall on Friday, April 11.
After host match on Friday, you and your guests can get acquainted as you drop off luggage in your room and figure out a plan to meet up later in the evening. You will not need to entertain your visitors as there will be several programs all evening for admitted students, from a preview of student performance groups to bus rides of New York City. There are even late-night programs with free food that last until 1:30 a.m., which as a host you are also welcome to join. On Saturday morning, your guests will need to be up and out of your room by 8:30 a.m., most likely before you even wake up! On Saturday evening, Columbia Engineering Days on Campus ends and the programming for Perspectives on Diversity begins.
Columbia College Perspectives on Diversity
