Classroom visitVisiting students can experience the academics at Columbia through class visits.

As a result of COVID-19, Columbia Undergraduate Admissions Office and the Columbia University Visitors Center has suspended on-campus events through Fall 2020 for the safety and well-being of our entire Columbia community and campus visitors. We look forward to welcoming visitors back to campus once it is safe to do so.

Information about class visits can be found below.

A vast array of classes is available for prospective students to attend while visiting campus during the academic year.

Please note that availability for classes are subject to change, based upon the date and time of class visit.

Due to the small and intimate nature of the Core Curriculum, prospective students will not be able to visit Core classes. However, newly admitted students are invited in the spring to sample Core classes during our accepted student programs.

If you are interested in visiting a class, you must first check in at the Visitors Center. After you have received approval to sit in on a class, you will receive a class visitation ticket. You must report to the class at least five minutes prior to the start time and you are expected to stay for the entire duration of the class. Please note that class visits are for prospective students only. Guests visiting campus along with a prospective student are unable to visit a class.
