Visitors Center Temporarily Relocated to Uris Hall for Spring 2024

As of Friday, January 26, 2024, the Columbia University Visitors Center has temporarily relocated to Hepburn Lounge in Uris Hall, adjacent to Chef Mike's Sub Shop. Guests should enter through the southeast corner terrace, across from Schermerhorn Hall.

The Visitors Center welcomes guests to campus from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays when the University is open. Campus tours will depart from the Uris (pronounced "YER-iss") Terrace for the Spring 2024 semester, barring unforeseen changes. Updates to specific events will be communicated directly to tour registrants via email.

Campus visitors and tour registrants should enter the terrace using the ramp at the southeast corner of Uris Hall, as pictured on this page. Refer to a selection of directions and navigation resources below, including directions from Google Maps and a campus map.

To access the Uris terrace and Hepburn Lounge, visitors should:

  1. Enter Columbia's Morningside Heights campus at either gate on 116th Street.

  2. Walk up the stairs toward Low Library, the domed building in the center of campus, and follow the eastern walkway along the right side of Low. Uris Hall is the building directly behind Low Library.

  3. Use the ramp entrance to the terrace, across from Schermerhorn Hall at the southeast corner of Uris Hall.

  4. Enter the lounge through the doors to the south of Blue Java and Chef Mike's Sub Shop, both of which are open to visitors.

Please reach out to ugrad-ask@columbia.edu with any questions, including accessibility needs or tour registration changes. We appreciate your flexibility and look forward to your campus visit!
