Brian Greene is a world-renowned physicist and mathematician who is known for his contributions to string theory, most significantly mirror symmetry and spatial topology change. His current interests reside in high-energy nuclear/particle physics. He is furthermore a pioneer of scientific public outreach, as the chairman of the World Science Festival, which he co-founded in 2008. He has had a cameo role in TV shows like The Big Bang Theory, has been featured on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and has written multiple New York TimesĀ best-selling books.
