Columbia’s application to the Columbia College Visiting Student Program and the Visiting Student Program at Columbia Engineering is now live for the 2024-2025 application cycle. These programs allow students who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree-seeking program at another college or university to broaden their experience with a semester at Columbia. We encourage students to become familiar with our application instructions and the differences between these programs and the programs offered by other Columbia University schools.
Students apply using the Visiting Student application, and applications are evaluated and admissions decisions are released on a rolling basis. For entry in Spring 2025, the deadline is Friday, November 15, 2024. For entry in Fall 2025, the priority deadline is Tuesday, April 1, 2025, and the final application deadline is Sunday, June 15, 2025.
The program is open to students who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree-seeking program at another college/university and who will have completed at least one full year of college credit by the time of enrollment. While the program is designed for sophomore and junior undergraduate students, senior (or fourth-year) students may be considered. Students who attend institutions outside of the United States are eligible to apply.
