Virtual Programs

The Columbia community hails from every corner of the world—and while we’d love to see you all here for a campus visit, we know that a trip to New York City can be quite an undertaking. That’s why we host a regular suite of virtual visit programs: to provide an insider’s look at what it’s like to be here in person, no matter what corner of the world you’re in! Talk directly with current students for answers to all your questions, experience the energy of our campus and get a feel for the community that one day you may call home.

Columbia Information Sessions, Panels and More

Join admissions officers, current Columbia students and Financial Aid & Educational Financing staff at our virtual programming and events. Whether you're looking for just an overview of Columbia or a deep dive into a particular topic, we have an option for you.

Cover the Columbia basics

Learn more about Columbia College and Columbia Engineering from an admissions officer and current undergraduate student.

General information sessions and specific information sessions for Columbia Engineering are available. Take advantage of this opportunity to dive deeper into the academic and student life experiences at Columbia.

Meet our students

Join Columbians live to learn more about different parts of the campus experience, straight from current students.

Student panels, consisting of a moderated Q&A with an admissions officer before audience questions, are a great way to understand the experiences of different communities at Columbia. Student Q&A chats allow you to join current Columbia students live for casual conversations as they discuss a different topic each week, ranging from areas of study to student life to New York City.

Learn about financial aid

Join members of Columbia Financial Aid & Educational Financing for a walk-through of the financial aid application process.

During our financial aid information sessions, students and families will learn more about Columbia's commitment to affordability and our need-based, need-blind and full need financial aid program.

Joint Information Sessions with Other Schools

Columbia regularly collaborates with other colleges and universities to provide joint sessions where students can learn more about the wide-range of options, all in one convenient event. These events provide prospective students and families with a brief introduction to each participating school and the opportunity to learn more about the college admissions process broadly. Group information sessions include a brief overview of each institution, information on admissions and financial aid and a chance to ask questions of admissions representatives.

Check Back Soon for More Joint Sessions

Our joint information sessions have concluded for the spring, but we'll be back with new offerings in the fall. Make sure to join our mailing list so you're the first to know about our next event!
