Heidi Julavits is the author, most recently, of the New York Times Notable book, The Folded Clock: A Diary (Doubleday, 2015). With Sheila Heti and Leanne Shapton, she edited the bestselling Women in Clothes (Blue Rider 2014). She is the author of four novels, among them The Vanishers (Doubleday, 2012), a New York Times Notable Book and winner of the PEN New England Fiction Award. Her first novel, The Mineral Palace, was a finalist for the Young Lions Literary Award. Her short fiction and essays have appeared in Harper’sMcSweeney’sNew York MagazineThe New York Times and other places. Her work has been anthologized in The Best American Short Stories and The Best American Travel Essays. She’s a recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship and a founding editor of The Believer magazine.
